My understanding is that the NASB was updated in the 1990's. what the differences are is, I think something you look up on the Internet.

In the updated NASB the oldest and best Greek manuscripts of the New Testament have been reviewed and some passages have been updated for greater fidelity to the original manuscripts. In addition to this, verbs that have a wide range of meaning have been retranslated in some passages to better account for their use in context.

It's a Symthe sewn bible. Synthetic is the BEST sewing available for a book that you want to lay flat.
