The central purpose of the Gospel of John is stated by the apostle himself: "[This is] written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name (John 20.31).
In this study participants will learn what John says about
- Jesus as the Word of God, who brings light and life
- the clarity of Jesus' message-salvation comes only through faith in his redeeming work
- Jesus as the bread of life, who nourishes us so that we can share this life-giving bread with others
- Jesus as our risen savior, who rose from the dead so that we too might rise to everlasting life
