What is the difference between bonded leather and imitation leather in Bible covers? Is one better than the other?

I cant speak to the bonded leather, but the imitation leather was soft, flexible, and somewhat suede like. I think it is a nice cover.

Newer imitation leather bindings (Tru-Tone, TuTone, Duo-Tone, etc.) rival bonded leather and even genuine leather. See "About Bible Bindings" http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/cms_content?page=1063665&sp=112717

Imitation leather is almost like a thicker paper type material and bonded leather is actual leather that is "ground" and then bonded together. The bonded leather is actually better quality and will last longer. The imitation leather will get bent and slightly frayed edges over maybe 3 to 4 years of regular use. If you get imitation leather you should get a cover. Hope that helps.

Bonded leather consists of genuine leather fibers, bonded together with latex and embossed to look like genuine leather. It is attractive and durable. Immitation leather is formed from man-made materials and gives the appearance of genuine leather with a wider range of color choices and design options, but is not as durable as bonded or genuine leather.

Can you tell me the difference in the study notes from 2007 to 2011?
I am interested in two MacArthur Study Bibles. One was printed in 2007, the other in 2011 with updated study notes. Were there lots of additions in the notes in 2011, or is this just a few changes?

The publication dates listed on individual Bibles on our website are specific to the release of that particular cover design. All of our "NASB MacArthur Study Bibles" contain the updated (1995) NASB text, but the notes are in their original format.
