This elegantly designed volume Synopsis of the Pauline Letters, displays related passages from the Pauline corpus and (where relevant) from the Acts of the Apostles in a visually parallel format in both Greek and English. The parallel format juxtaposes related passages which also allows the Synopsis to arrange passages topically. The Greek and English versions of each related passage are set on facing pages to maximize redactional capability. This allows for organizational efficiency and immediate textual and translation comparison. The Synopsis of the Pauline Letters uses the polished NRSV translation as its English text, and for its Greek text, the scholarly standard NA27 (Nestle-Aland 27th Edition) text.
The Synopsis of the Pauline letters is the first conspectus of its kind of the Pauline corpus, and the first to synopsis of the Pauline material to include all 13 of what are traditionally known to be Pauline epistles, and to combine them with the relevant passages from Acts. Covering over 175 topics, this new cutting-edge resource promises to be of much value for research, theology, and for exposition of Paul's letters; and also, for understanding Paul's theology comprehensively and exhaustively.
