Customer Questions & Answers for
Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co. The Book of Isaiah, 3 Volumes

Young's classic 3-volume commentary engages in a line-by-line exegesis of the Book of Isaiah, setting interpretation firmly in the context of Isaiah's archaeological, cultural, and intellectual background. Young's conclusions are theologically conservative, and though he believes Isaiah to be a unified, single-author book, he respectfully interacts with opposing views. Includes bibliographies and indexes. Volume 1 covers chapters 1-18; Volume 2 looks at chapters 19-39; Volume 3 surveys chapters 40-66.

answer 1
The print is sufficient to not require a magnifiying glass. The books are based on his own interpretations based on his knowledge of the Hebrew language, but is comparable to the NKJ version of the Bible. Any translation will do fine as you follow along with his commentary.

I don't know about everyone else, but I need my reading glasses.
These books are based on the author's own translation, not the KJV.

answer 3
The type size in this book is smaller than standard text, so would be more difficult to read than a standard Bible. Yes, these books do use the KJV as their source for Bible references.
