Questions & Answers for NAV Press The Book of Names

Question

Is there any magic in this book? Such as spells, potions, or wizards?

I realize this is fantasy, but I was hoping that magic would be absent here (since I'm not allowed to read books with stuff like that in and this one sounds interesting!)

This book has similar mystical characters as "Lord of the Rings" and "The Chronicles of Narnia". Most of the supernatural aspects of the book are empowered by concepts of runes, chants, and naming. Some of the important characters in the book are non-human such as gnomes, fairies, witches, etc., and there are mystical items that hold significance for the plot and lore of the story.
