It is ready to be hung on the wall. It looks like the "canvas wrap" artwork. In this case the picture is glued onto a box type frame. The ones I ordered could be hung or stood up on a flat surface. See my review for the "I will lie down and sleep in peace" mounted print.

They are "wall ready". The print is mounted by hand to a painted, carved piece of MDF wood with a hand-rolled, textured finish that protects the print and gives the appearance of stretched canvas. Small prints have a single saw tooth hanger on the back, while large prints have two hangers 16 inches apart or a hanging wire. Most prints have rubber bumpers on the back to keep level against the wall.
