Pewter, not sure if it contains lead or not. I purchased the necklace and put it on a sterling chain and I absolutely love it. Looks better in real life!

I'm certain it is NOT lead. It seems to be some sort of aluminum, with a pewter like finish. It's a nice peice, although not super fantastic, but excelent for say a young person between the ages of like 5/6 - 14-15. I bought a pack of 3. One for myself and one each for a couple of my G.F.'s. We enjoy wearing ours on those kicking back, jeans and t's kind of days.

It looks to be pewter. It has an aged look to it that doesn't make it look silver. Hope this helps :o)
