Tell us a little about yourself.  I am a credentialed teacher and a publisher. "Grammar Songs" was created in the classroom. It has been used successfully in public schools, private schools, home schools and libraries since 1984.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I started writing these songs when I was teaching high school English.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  Parents and teachers will be able to easily instruct students of all ages. Grammar is a subject that is usually boring and difficult to teach. "Grammar Songs" was created to make it fun and memorable. The Grammar Songs book and Teacher's Guide are HIGHLY recommended to be used with the CD. The parts of speech and rules of punctuation are presented in a logical sequence so that students may learn to write correctly. The writing exercises in the book reinforce what students learn in the songs. The Greek and Latin prefix and suffix song will increase vocabulary and help students prepare for college entrance exams.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  "Grammar Songs" was the first of many recordings which I have produced to make learning fun. It was a project which started on my kitchen table and evolved into a corporation.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Sue Dickson has influenced me a lot and she is my mentor. I enjoy the songs of Alan Sherman, Rogers and Hammerstein, the Beach Boys and Michael Jackson. I am a fan of any song that sticks in your head. My favorite Gospel artist is Andrae Crouch.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Music is a gift from God that we should use to continually transform our minds.
