In other words, does the HCSB still use Father, Son, mankind, etc.?

Yes it does. The significant change is the names of Jesus. This translation uses the words Messiah, Yahweh, and other Hebrew terms where they are found in the original language rather than the more generic terms found in others.

The HCSB follows the Evangelical Guidelines of May 27, 1997 for translation of gender-related language in Scripture. It is considered to be "gender accurate".
