Publisher's Description

Do you know how much you matter to God?
In this powerful and deeply vulnerable book, Beth Redman writes to pass along a message that changed her life—that the God who made us also understands us intimately and proclaims our worth by naming us and calling our name. He hears our cries and reaches out to help us and fight for us. He knows our past but is already hard at work shaping our future—helping us, defending us, and restoring the damage life has done. And no matter what others do, our heavenly Father will never, ever leave or forget us.

Drawing on Scripture and her own experience, Redman invites us to explore the revolutionary implications of being loved by a God who knows our name. And she invites us to call on His name as well—to respond to His heart and love Him as He has loved us from the beginning.

God Knows My Name by Beth Redman won my heart immediately with its transparency and vulnerability. Redman beautifully portrays God’s love, rescue, and redemption through brokenness, pain, and sin. In this book, Redman uses biblically-sound teaching and Scripture to encourage women in God’s unfathomable love, as well as their individual value and worth. She also recognizes the importance of using the Bible to dispel Satan’s lies. Throughout the book, Redman shows the significance and depth of God’s love and its effect on our lives in regard to image, goals, mission, relationships, and personal development.

Redman shows her vulnerability by being open about her past. She also uses everyday examples and issues, thereby making it easy to relate to her. By intertwining her experiences and teachings, Redman creates such an atmosphere of security in which anyone would feel safe to make a confession without fear of judgment.

In her book, Redman discusses how intimately God knows us. She demonstrates this, as well as backing up her title, by using Isaiah 43:1, which says “I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” She says that God not only knows our name and doesn’t forget us, but he also knows our past, character, and choices as well. Despite all this, he still helps us, protects us, and brings restoration in the midst of our brokenness. Redman supports all her points with Scripture and biblical accounts.

God Knows My Name is a truly encouraging and uplifting book that has the power to influence women’s lives positively. Women of various ages will be able to come away from this having collected a piece of treasure. I would highly recommend this powerful and influential book to any woman. – Rachel Vachon, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
