Willow Creek Association Emotionally Healthy Spirituality: Daily Office

One of the great barriers for many of us in spending time alone with God is the lack of a flexible, balanced structure to guide us. Begin the Journey with the Daily Office seeks to provide a means to serve you in your time with God. The Daily Office differs from what we label today as "quiet time or devotions" in that it normally takes place at least twice a day.

The Daily Office when practiced consistently, works to eliminate the division of the sacred and the secular in our lives. The whole day is infused with a deep sense of the sacred; of God's presence.

There are two Daily Offices per day in this version, made up of five elements:
  1. Silence, Stillness, and Centering
  2. Scripture
  3. Devotional Reading
  4. Question to Consider
  5. Prayer
