answer 1
Marya, yes there are really two prequels. I would suggest reading Danger in the Shadows and then Jennifer, before you tackle the rest of the series. Believe me, you're going to love them!

answer 2
Yes, there are two prequels. "Jennifer" is Tom & Jennifer's story. (Jennifer is one of the O'Malleys.) "Dangers in the Shadows" is Adam & Sara's story. (Neither of them are actually O'Malleys but they cross over into later stories.)

answer 3
No. Jennifer was the sibling that ran through all six O'Malley book but never had one of her own. Dee Henderson has now written this and it's wonderful.

answer 4
This would be the book that comes between Danger in the Shadows and The Negotiator. I expect new editions will have up to date numbers.

Danger in the Shadows is Sara's story. She is only related to the O'Mallys through her brother's relationship with Kate. This book appears to be Jennifer's story. Apparently, it takes place between Danger in the Shadows and The Negotiator. (I have not read the book, yet, so I am not absolutely certain about that.)

answer 6
Yes, there are now two prequels. This is not Danger in the Shadows under another name (which is a valid question, as Dee Henderson has previously pulled this trick with True Courage and Kidnapped, which are the same book).
Danger in the Shadows was about Dave's sister (Dave and Kate are the feature couple in The Negotiator, the first 'proper' O'Malley book). DITS is a full-length novel.
Jennifer is about Jennifer O'Malley, the youngest O'Malley, who was an influential secondary character in the other six O'Malley books. Jennifer is only a novella - maybe half the length of the other O'Malley books.
