Difference in participants guide and softcover book?

Becoming a Contagious Christian offers a participants guide and a soft cover book what is the difference? if doing this for a small group study which one do I order mulitiples of guide or book?

The participants guide goes along with the video course. The book is good, but not necessary. I got the guide for each person in my group and they were happy. The book has much of the same information. Since I was leading the study, I read it and it helped reinforce the video information. If you are using the video in your study, I don't think the book is needed unless some folks want more examples to add to the video lessons.

The softcover book presents the foundational principles and structure for Becoming a Contagious Christian. It is recommended, but not necessary to complete the course. The Participant's Guide provides an outline and study worksheets to accompany the DVD course. Each course participant should have one.
