As all of her books, Coming Home could be read as a stand alone, but is a wrap-up of all three series you mention. So if you like to read "the back of the book," go ahead and read it first, but both the Firstborn and Sunrise series expand on the lives of the Baxter family and the Flanigans, which are inter-related. I read them all as they came out, so Coming Home was more meaningful after getting to know the families through the other series.

answer 4
The Baxter Saga series do go in order. If you want to continue developing a bond with the Baxter family, you would want to read the Firstborn and Sunset series before reading Coming Home. Coming Home summarizes and brings closure to the entire Baxter family.

answer 5
Coming Home comes AFTER the Redemption, Firstborn and Sunset series, so if you are planning to read the Firstborn and Sunset series, you should definitely read them first, otherwise you will find Coming Home has a lot of spoilers.
But you don't need to read the Above the Line or Bailey Flannigan series before reading Coming Home - they are more about Bailey Flannigan, and are really Young Adult fiction.

answer 6
I have read the entire Baxter/Flanigan/Bailey saga and was glad I had before reading Coming Home. I would at least read the Firstborn and Sunset series first. She does a great job of catching you up (which was helpful since it had been a while since I read the first book), but reading Coming Home first will give away some of the other stories in previous books.
