There are six sessions and each session is approximately 20 minutes long. I would highly advise to purchase the participant's guide as it helped our Sunday School class to go deeper with the content that Gary presents.

Does each individual in a group need to purchase the DVD (for watching before bible study)? Or just the leaders (to watch during bible study)?

Only the leader needs to have a copy of the DVD, as it is intended for use during the group study time.

Question

Is it necessary to purchase the book or is the dvd information complete?

Wanting to give to an engaged couple that does not want to "read a book" . Our church does not offer premarital counseling.

Sad the your church does not offer premarital counseling. The book does contain material not included in the DVD. It would be nice if they read the book together, but for sure the DVD alone should be helpful. Also recommend another DVD "I Marriage" with Andy Stanley.

Although the DVD does mention the participant's guide at the end of each session. There is a great deal of beneficial information that can be gleaned from watching the video content only.
