Publisher's Description

Jude, The 11:45 Call, is Gods last attempt to give mankind His instruction on how to be delivered from destruction and what to expect if they dont listen. The Day of Judgment will come (Acts 2:20). Jesus disciples asked Him, Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age (Matthew 24)?

Jude amplifies the instructions of Jesus to His disciples and instructs us to beware, be ready, walk in faith and truth, lifting high the cross of Christ, and testify to the work God has done in our lives.

All around us, people struggle in webs of deception and grope in darkness, waiting for the light.

Hope lies but a turn away.

Joel and Brenda Blakely, laymen in the church holding Masters of Education degrees, have taken up the pen after many years of teaching, to call attention to The 11:45 Call.

The 11:45 Call issues an urgent, simple, authentic call to fight continuously for the faiththe truth and hope of our salvationin light of the last days before judgment and the midnight hour. The 11:45 Call will expire at the stroke of midnight; destination is determined by personal choice.

Tell us a little about yourself.  After years of teaching my husband and I have picked up the pen to follow God's leading and expand our circle of influence. God has allowed us to be a part of His great adventure and we are grateful. As rural residents we enjoy the birds, pastoral views, fresh veggies and the beauty of southern hospitality and graciousness. It is such a joy to be able to write with my husband. It took God 49 years to get us tuned together enough so that this could take place. It is amazing what God can do with 2 donkeys.

What was your motivation behind this project?  This was not my dream or planned venture but it was awsome to hold the printed book in my hands. We walked into this project step by step not knowing where we were going or what the results would be. Our only motivation was to "follow the path that God laid before us" and walk without fear or taking over to do it our way. It was a daily struggle of "contending with the faith" as Jude reminds us.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  Our only hope is that we will continue to be found faithful and do whatever it takes to get this book into the hands of those God intends to read it so that they will have the opportunity to take the word of God written in the book of Jude into their lives. It is our prayer that God will use The 11:45 Call for His glory.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I was personally impacted by the discipline it took to: stay on task share the load with my husband and keep the faith. Writing an expository Bible study kept me in the Word of God and the Word of God will impact your life.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My husband was my strongest influence and then the faithful of Westwood Baptist Mission-Miracleland, my good friends KK, Margaret and Delores, our SS classes at all the churches we attend and our neighbors. AllAboutGod opportunities spurred me on. God would bring just the right influence and inspiration that I needed at any given moment.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Hope is just a turn away-listen for the Fathers voice and let God speak to you, let Him renew your mind and place His word in your heart. Ask yourself if you believe that Jude is The 11:45 Call. Look around you and ask for understanding and discernment. The day is at hand Christians must be aware and ready to do the will of God. People need the Lord and that means people need to be ready to share what God has done in their lives. There are blessings waiting.
