Question
What is the round circle on each page?
Could you please explain whether it's a mirror (and if so, how that fits into the story), or a peek through slot (and if so, how that fits into the story? Thank you very much!

No there isn't a mirror in this one. The round opening provides an interactive experience on each page. For eample, as the text says, "feel the sheep's soft wool", etc. there is a touch-and-feel area in the round opening that corresponds to both the text and the illustration of the sheep with touchable, 3 dimensional "wool" . The preschool aged child may enjoy a multi-sensory experience of hearing the text read aloud, seeing the pictures, and touching the enrichment areas provided. This is particularly useful for kinesthetic/ hands-on learners who may be engaged on multiple levels.

The round circle on the front cover is a hole which allows you to see the sheep's "wool" on the next page. Each successive circle in the book contains "fur" or "wool" for each animal mentioned.
