Tell us a little about yourself.  I am a professor of evangelism and church growth at Southern Seminary. Prior to serving on the faculty, I pastored Baptist churches in Ohio for fourteen years.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I became interested in spiritual warfare when I saw churches not making much difference--and wondering why that happened. More specifically, I was concerned about why so many Christians fail to live a victorious Christian life. I have attempted to produce a resource that helps individuals and churches overcome the enemy.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I want readers to develop a passion for leading churches that honor God first and threaten the enemy second.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Some of my favorite authors are John Piper, Thom Rainer, and Tom Schreiner. An older author, William Gurnall, is also a favorite.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I want people to approach spiritual warfare from a biblical perspective--that is, to recognize that the battle is real, but we are already victors in Christ.
