It has suggestions for warm-ups to start you meeting, and other suggestions to help you create a comfortable atmosphere. It is merely a guide, and is not critical to have for the course. I would highly suggest it if you are not accustomed to leading such events.

There is no DVD, which I think makes this study more accessible to some churches and study groups, and it is possible to do this study without either the participant's guides or the whole book. The scripture and excerpts provided definitely hold the whole study together.
It includes pointed questions, detailed instructions for leading the group, and a deeper Scripture dive than even in the book. I encourage you to do this study.

It has all a leader needs in order to gather a group of women and encourage them to explore the issue of insecurity. Most of the content is common-sense psychology, and the scripture provided is very basic and on the level of "Read Romans 8. What hope can you find here?" You don't need much biblical knowledge at all in order to use the leader's guide to lead a group.

Beth Moore's leader guides are very helpful for doing the studies. They offer administrative guidance including planning and promotion, plans for a retreat, step-by-step instructions for conducting group study sessions, leadership responsibilities, tips for facilitating discussion, and strategies for coping with problems.
