I have checked my copy with an ORIGINAL hard back edition, and I cannot find any changes. For me, that is good. This edition is not an in-between version, between the original Living Bible and the New Living Translation.

answer 2
Yes, the The Living Bible is NOT a translation but is a paraphrase version and is the original Living Bible version. NLT is the New Living Bible translation. Translation means it follows closely from the Greek and Hebrew words of the original writings but in language like we use today without changing the original meanings of those words.

This is not a red letter edition. Personally, I like it this way. Most red letter Bibles have faded pink text for the red lettering, which I find disappointing. For highlighting, the black letters are nice, regardless of the highlighter color used. Red letters can be degraded in visibility if highlighted in a color other than yellow.

The font size is around a 9 point. I cannot recognize the actual font name (I am into desk top publishing, and fonts mean a lot to me.) It is not Arial / Helvitica nor Times New Roman (in my opinion), but is a very attractive and appropriate font. I like it! The line spacing and line width are very good. I don't like bibles with text lines that are too short and choppy, nor so long as to be cumbersome. This printing is very nice.

Does it have a sewn binding?

As I open the Bible flat, I see no sections where threads are visible, so I cannot say it is a Smyth sewn product. However, there are sections where the binding is slightly tighter together, as if there is a thread ever so often holding it together. It gives no appearance of a cheap binding.

At the time the original question about text size was asked, this Bible had not yet been released and the information provided by the publisher was that it would be between 8 and 9 point text. Now that the Bible is available, the official text size is listed as 9 point.
