There is a side column on each page on the inside, that shows cross references in the Bible to related passages. For example, in Matthew 12:2 The Pharisees said to him: Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath. In the side column reference it has Lk 13:14.....If you turn to Luke 13:14, it talks of the synagogue leader being indignant, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath. The reference system allows you to go to other similar or related Bible passages. It is very helpful, especially if you are having difficulty understanding some passages of scripture.
