Mine did not... but I think you can find some that are even leather bound... these (this set) are perfect for everyday use and I recommend they be somewhere where you can enjoy and meditate on what is being said.

Afraid not. There are fancier editions to be found for about $125, but if you're just looking for the content, you can't beat the price here. Just as pictured.

answer 7
No, they are plain hardcover. No paperdust cover. Honestly you don't want a paper dustcover that flops all over the place. The hardback is quality durable material. Excellent quality book in both information and how it is made.

answer 3
It's a little hard to peg down. Yes and no.

Yes, in that McGee is no fan of evolution or of even trying to make Genesis and evolution sync up, and his reasoning is pretty solid.

No, in that he does not subscribe to any view as to exactly how old the Earth is.

Some of the harder questions about Genesis are not answered, totally in my opinion, quite satisfactorily. But having listened to McGee's radio show for a long time, I can say for absolute certain that his answers improve as one goes through.

This "thru the bible" approaches the bible by explaining the bible period. In other words, if you read a bible, he will explain it. I hope that answers your question.

Yes. It has a good discussion of evolution and why he doesn't use this in his estimation in the prologue.

This is the pure word of God explained without regard to an organization nor a denomination. The whole volume of the book (Bible ) points to Christ. We all belong to the "body of Christ"... that is what is focused upon.

This commentary is not specific to any denomination. J. Vernon McGee himself was ordained by the Presbyterian Church (USA). Based on his education, his theological background is a mixture of calvinistic and dispensational doctrines.
