From the time the Spirit of God descended upon the believers in Jerusalem, God has been transforming the souls of individual believers in the context of local Christian communities. The Transforming Life Series also tries to balance the inward and outward elements of transformation within the context of community, and the Community study helps a group experience a growing sense of authentic community. Throughout the study, members will work on putting together their "Life Story". As people share their stories with each other, a deep level of trust and commitment grows.
Each session includes the three aspects of transformation: personal introspection (homework assignments), spiritual disciplines, and the experience of God in relationships. Through all of these means, the Spirit of God will be at work in your life.
