To join a big and thriving church is not always wrong, but it is frequently the easy option. To join a little, needy congregation is not a decision to be taken lightly. It will probably require more guts, love, resilience and spiritual exertion than one thought possible. But can the church truly be maintained if all we have are large churches? Can community be maintained? Would we not give up our community to drive large numbers of miles to go to church?
