His great exegesis. John stays true to God's word. As a student of the Bible with many years of Theology, Hebrew, and Greek studies, I can vouch of John's accuracy in this bible.

There are some verses that the NIV commentary does not comment on. John MacAuthur more than comments, he goes into great detail on these verses.

It is so unique in that it is trnslated into English in as pure a form as the original autographs can be. Much better than the TNIV and an easier guide to study from.

At this point, if a person is determined to begin studying God's Word through a specific STUDY Bible format, I would suggest getting a King James Version Life Application Study Bible. The notes are very practical, and as the name suggests, it assists in applying the given passage to everyday life. However, I more strongly recommend getting a regular Authorized King James Version Bible and allowing "...the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My (Jesus Christ) name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I ( Jesus Christ) have said unto you.", all it takes is a person's faith in Jesus, His Word, and His Holy Spirit, to teach that person the truth which is the Word of God.
