answer 3
Yes. Matthew Henry uses the King James Version - at least in the versions that I have. I'm really not sure of the timeline (Matthew Henry's time and King James) but the wording is exactly the same so I venture to say that he did use the KJV. Hope it helps. I use these commentaries a lot and I'm not a Bible scholar, but I nevertheless enjoy his works very much.

Yes, it uses King James Version. It was written in the 1600's and Praise the Lord that's the only version there was, very unlike today when there are many, many perversions.

Yes, most of the commentaries compiled prior to the 20th century used the original KJV. I personally like these commentaries better than their newer counterparts.

I do not have a problem with the print but it is not large print. I don't think the average person who wears bifocals would have any problem.

The single volume measures 11 by 8.5 inches. The six volumes measure 9.5 by 6 inches each. The single volume is equal in weight to half (3 volumes) of the 6 volume set.

Hi Josephine. I'm finding I need my glasses more and more for reading small print. The print in Henry's six-volume Commentary is less than 11 point, perhaps 8 or 9 is my guess. But it is a friendly font with good letter/page contrast and I'm still OK without my glasses. I like it enough though that I'd use glasses and maybe even a magnifying glass if need be.
This set is comprehensive and spans from Genesis through Revelation. Looks like every chapter is covered.

Hope this helps!

Matthew Henry wrote this commentary about 300 years ago. He wrote it in the language of his time. However, it is SO MUCH easier to read than the KJV. So please don't let your fears stop you from purchasing this marvellous work. I can assure thee that thy soul shalt be blessed! LOL

answer 2
The typeface in this edition is a more modern font, which is easier to read, possibly similar to a Roman font (exact typeface is not indicated). Paragraphs and subdivisions still exist, but are arranged in a modern outline style, with capital Roman numerals starting major divisions and lesser divisions indicated by Arabic (Standard) numbers.
