Question

Is there ever any background music in this dramatized version?

The pictures of the front and back sides of the DVD package (on this web page) don't specifically indicate whether or not there is background music. I prefer that there be no background music, because music can sometimes adversely compete with voices.

there is background music,but ii is light & not on all the time.there are also some light sound effects. the different dialogue voices are present & don't to me sound authentic enough. very few voice only dvd's availible,though

overall not too distracting

NOT SO MUCH , BUT WHEN THERE IS MORE THEN ONE PERSON IN THE PHARAGRAPH , THEE IS MULTI-VOICES , AND THIS IS EXTREMELY DISTRACTING FOR ME ! SUFER TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY FROM THE ARMY , AND HAVE SEIZURES. SO THE MULTI-VOICES AND BACKGROUND NOISES ALMOST CAUSES ME TO HAVE A SEIZURE. I WISH ONLY STEPHEN JOHNSON WAS THE ONLY VOICE.

on all the ones i have had in my christian life the ones that have music to me they are not to loud just complimentary. so just get it without. the music will come from your heart to GOD as you grow. but still read the bible out loud to yourself there is almost no replacement for that.

While there is not background music through the whole DVD, because it is dramatized, it does have music in parts.
