Question
Is this genuine spurgeon or edited?
Is this the original Spurgeon, or is it an anemic, edited version devoid of both his theology and rhetoric? For example, Whitaker Publishing (I realize this is Hendrickson) is notorious on gutting Spurgeon of his theology. I don't want a version that revises it into more readable American prose (e.g., "dumbing down").

I am sorry to hear that anyone would water down Spurgeon's messages but such is the world... they have also made A.W. Pink's works very anemic I hear. These are the original as far as I can tell...

The theology has NOT been gutted. In fact, my husband and I read the books to inspire us after getting what we have now termed "culturist" preaching from our church pulpit! Wonderful, funny, practical, and serious lessons from Scripture. The books do use the old English.
