Eric is born to and raised by his single mother in a house along the railroad track in the small community of Harriet, Wisconsin. At the age of 10, Eric begins two romances: one with the trains and the lifestyle of the hobos who sometimes traveled on them; and the other with Mary, a pretty young girl whose family moves into the next-door upstairs apartment.
The Hobo is a story of a boy and his praying mother, the influence she has on her son, and how her prayers affect Eric in later life. It is also a story of the homeless and their plight, of forgiveness, of romance, and of a homeless hobo young man, whom God never forgot. Paperback, 253 pages. Xulon Press.
