Customer Questions & Answers for
Xulon Press The Hobo

A modern-day story which parallels the lives of thousands of men, teenagers, and many women and children, in the early part of the last century, as they traveled "free" on the rail system throughout the United States.

Eric is born to and raised by his single mother in a house along the railroad track in the small community of Harriet, Wisconsin. At the age of 10, Eric begins two romances: one with the trains and the lifestyle of the hobos who sometimes traveled on them; and the other with Mary, a pretty young girl whose family moves into the next-door upstairs apartment.

The Hobo is a story of a boy and his praying mother, the influence she has on her son, and how her prayers affect Eric in later life. It is also a story of the homeless and their plight, of forgiveness, of romance, and of a homeless hobo young man, whom God never forgot. Paperback, 253 pages. Xulon Press.
