Customer Questions & Answers for
Hendrickson Publishers The Interlinear Greek-English New Testament

This interlinear is keyed to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance and is available in this convenient one volume edition. An interlinear Bible is a time-saving tool for researching the subtle nuances and layers of meaning within the original biblical languages. This interlinear features the complete Greek text with a direct English rendering below each word, it also includes The Literal Translation of the Bible in the outside column. Strong's numbers are printed directly above the Greek words which enables those with no prior knowledge of Greek or Hebrew to easily access a wealth of language reference works.

The Greek is from the Textus Receptus. The source of the text is documented in the preface, and is essentially the same (with some minor variations) to the Greek text used by the KJV translators.

The version in the interlinear is LITV (Literal version based on research of Jay P. Green, Sr. ) The Greek is from the Received Text which underlies the KJV. Excellent!

This book has a separate, very literal English translation done by the author. I was hoping for one of the translations you mentioned above, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. This volume is very good, even though it was not my first choice.

answer 3
This is translated from the same texts the KJV was derived from, however, the English wording is, as much as possible, a literal translation of those texts. Because of differing grammatical rules, the transliteration located under the original text has been rearranged in order to make the literal translation paragraphing more readable.
