Accelerated Christian Education Grade 11 English 3 (American Literature) PACEs 1121- 1132

Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum has Scripture as its foundation, fully integrating biblical principles, wisdom, and character-building concepts into education. Students move at their own speed through the self-instructional "PACE" workbooks. Following the mastery approach, PACEs are formatted for students to complete the exercises found throughout the workbook, take a practice "self test," and conclude with a "final test" (torn out from the center) to measure understanding.

Students will learn about how to write correctly as they learn grammar, reading, and writing skills. This set includes English III Grade 11 PACEs 1121-1132, which covers:

  • Sentence fragments, run-ons, and complete sentences.
  • Different periods of American literature.
  • Grammar.
  • Capitalization and punctuation rules.
  • Writing skills-descriptive, narrative, expository, and persuasive elements of a paragraph; plans and writes an essay.
  • Setting, character, and plot for a short story .
  • Researching, planning, and writing a term paper in a step-by-step process.
  • Facts presented in other types of expository texts by using a variety of consumer, workplace, and public documents.
  • In His Steps by Charles M. Sheldon and answers questions.
  • Excerpts from The Oregon Trail.
  • Characteristics of satire, parody, allegory; pastoral themes used in poetry, prose, plays, novels, short stories, essays; and other basic genres.

    Fill-in-the-blank, word-bank, and multiple-choice type exercises help with review and retention. 35 pages each, paperback booklets. Grade 11. English 3/III 1-12. PACEs 1121-1132.

    Answers are not included, but are available in the sold-separately SCORE key.

    Yes, PACEs are consumable so you would need one set for each student.
