The bonded cover appears glued. The binding for the pages appears sewn. I don't know what "Smyth" sewn is.

It doesn't not say whether its pigskin or cowhide on it however, having purchased leather bibles before I will tell you I was surprised at the nice quality feel of it. Especially considering the price.

B & H Publishing manufactures their genuine leather covers from a variety of animal hides and does not distinguish between cowhide and pigskin. This cover could be made from either.
