Wow, Kerri... how did you get inside my brain and write my autobiography?!? Talk about hitting home! I thought I was the only goober on earth who found Sunday afternoons to be the hardest time of the week. And what you said about being pure in comparison to the rest of the world... so right, God doesn't grade on a sliding scale. But for a long time, I thought so, too. It wasn't until I finally submitted to God that He literally brought my husband to my doorstep! Thank you for your HONESTY and being willing to share about your mistakes. I wish I had your book five years ago!
Amber

Hi Kerri. I just finished your book. It was awesome!!! Thanks for being so real. It's nice to know I'm not crazy!
Sherry

Kerri, you are my hero! Thank your so much for writing you book. After reading the first couple chapters I went back the very next day and bought it for another one of my friends who in return bought it the following day for yet another one of our girls. You have rocked our worlds and helped change our hearts. Thank you so much for putting your story out there. There is a story that each of us can relate to... more than we care to admit. Even though we have never met, you have practically become another member of our little group of single women here in Virginia! Rock on sista.
Jill

Hi, my name is Bridget, and I’m a comedy-holic. I read the book a year ago. I tell everyone about it but don't want to share my personalized copy. Thus, the three orders today. I got the book out to show someone again and am engulfed in minutes. I lie to myself and say that I can stop reading it any time I want to. This is gonna be the best book on the book market.

Bridget

Love the book! My brother gave it to me. I’m totally making all my single 20-something girlfriends read it this summer! you speak our language!!!!

Dorothy

Kerri, I just want to say that God has blessed you. I have to be honest, when I bought your book it sat on my book shelf for like a week or two. God is so good, I was up one night reading journals that I kept in school. I never have dated, and I would write down plenty of times, “What's wrong with me?” When I closed the journal I just started thinking about that question and then your book came to mind. I got it and I started reading it. The book was so funny, but the message was truly what God was telling me. He wanted me to wait on him and I decided that I would keep waiting on him. Your book really helped me and I thank God for you and I pray that he blesses you even more.
Georgia

Kerri, I just finished reading your book. WOW!! is all I can say. It was nice to read someone else's outtakes on the dating scene. It felt like I was reading my own journal entries. I find it amazing that you are able to rely on God so much! Thank you for your inspiration. I can see now that it is something that has to be developed, both in times of joy and sorrow. Thanks again, and I will DEFINITELY be passing this one on to my other single gal-pals!!! (maybe even a few guys who can handle it!) God's blessings!!!
Melissa

Kerri, You are my new heroine!! The Lord lead me to read your book, honestly and I wanted to fall to my knees right there and just start praying. I have added you to my prayer list, for real. You inspired me to become more transparent with the Single Women's Bible Study group I lead. As we say in the South, “You Go Girl!!”
Stephanie

I love your book!!! And it's so comforting to know there really are happy endings to this waiting on God thing. One of my best friends recommended this book to me because as he started reading it he thought, "This sounds just like Pam." Scary thought, huh?! But I love how you described your waiting on God for a whole 24 hours...etc. Honestly I did feel like I was reading my own journal, lol! The best part of the story is how much God loves me and wants to be my first love. I'm glad you share that part of the story too. May God richly bless your life together as you serve Him by spreading His joy around through comedy! Thank you!

Pam

Kerri - Girlfriend! You SO hit the mark with your book. I mean it hits to the heart of every do-it-yourself Christian single in such a great and funny way. I've also found some great spiritual tidbits from it as well! So from one professed do-it-yourselfer to another, a thanks for writing what the world was too embarrassed to do! Blessings on you in your life and ministry!
Traci

Hi, Kerri! Hey... How did you get into my head? I just finished your book and it was hilarious! I'm glad I'm not alone! You have inspired me to keep hoping, and to trust in God! Anyway, just wanted to tell you, keep going, girl! You're an inspiration! Blessings,
Christine

I bought your book last week and have been laughing hysterically ever since! You are one funny girl! I couldn't stop reading all last night and I'm two chapters away from being done. Your stories have ministered to me not only in laughter, but I appreciate you interjecting the truth and the lessons God taught you throughout your experiences. God bless.
Mariali

Hi Kerri, just a quick note to say I’ve just finished reading your book and I loved it! I couldn’t put it down. I finished it this morning and I’m now hours behind schedule of things to do today. LOL! I’m 19, and it was so reassuring to read your book, knowing that God's way IS the best way! Anyway, was a great read and spiritual boost. Thank you and God bless.
Nana

I just happened to be in a bookstore yesterday, the name of your book intrigued me. I finished it last night. It was such a blessing to know that there are women out there who feel exactly the same way I do. Some of your chapters I felt as I though I could have written them myself word-for-word. Keep up your great work for Him. God bless you.
Nadine

Kerri, I just finished your book and was blown away by it. While reading it, I felt like you were writing of my own life, struggling with online dating in my 30's. I have finally decided to wait on God with my relationships and then found your book that totally validated my decision. I can't wait to pass this through my church small group. Every woman in there is single and needs your book! Thanks.
Jules

Thank you so much for writing this book. I have read a few Christian dating books that made me feel as if I was doing something wrong. But just by giving a little insight on your life gives me hope that I too can learn to come closer to God. Many of the things you said were similar to my life story. God bless.

A Word From The Author

If you had told me when Brandon Duck dumped me for Jennie Grabda in 1st grade that my diary would someday become a book, I would have been terrified—and then I would have laughed. I didn't know all my dating blunders and neurosis would end up being published. I never thought I'd have enough material for 54 chapters of “What not to do in dating.”

But I kept writing because there had to be other “crazy singles” out there like me who were fed up with the whole system. I thought I'd be married with kids by the time I turned 26 and when that didn't happen, I started taking matters into my own hands. I thought I could find Mr. Right by dating every Mr. Right Now and Mr. Almost Right out there.

There isn't much I haven't done to seek God's will in my dating life. I just didn't think there would be thousands of people laughing about it. But now I know they laugh because they relate. They've also been in those online chatrooms; they've also been rejected by eHarmony; they've also been to those terrible singles mixers at church. They see themselves when they read about my adventures.

I wrote a lot of this book with my tears staining the pages at 1:00am through break ups and make ups. And God was there the entire time. I read every dating book out there and never felt I fit that profile of the perfect single Christian. I had a controlling nature and a lot of baggage. God knows it, and he loves me for it anyway.

This book is not "How I found a man." I hate books like that. I think it's more of my love story in finding God, and I’m praying my story will help you feel you’re not alone.
