Looking for Answers about Zondervan Made to Crave, Participant's Guide?

It CAN be used w/ the book only & not the DVD - there is a ton of practical & meaningful application stuff in the Participant's Guide. But some of the questions will pertain only to the DVD...that being said, the DVD does overlap somewhat w/ the book so if it fits your budget, I would go ahead & get the guide also!

The guide can be used without the DVD, but the DVD is really good. If you really want to make a change, I suggest going all out and getting the DVD also.

Absolutely! Great pairing of materials with those 2 alone.

In my opinion it could work, but might be a little confusing. Each chaper of the paticipant's guide offer's highlights of what is being discussed on the DVD. But when it comes to the daily readings, the participant's guide offers suggetions for both reading in the book and he Bible.

You don't HAVE to but...it is an awesome participant's guide!! There is so much practical application - well worth it!

If you are leading a group, it might be beneficial for you to have it. But it pretty much divides the book into chapters to read and then does have 3 studies to do during the week, but the book has very similar questions to discuss at then end of each chapter. So if you read 3 chapters in the book and do the questions, it is almost the same.

Yes! The participant guide is wonderful and much needed.

I recommend getting both. The guide helps you get a better understanding of what Lysa is discussing and a better understanding of God's word about food.

I'm sure you've already made your decision...looks like you posted 1 1/2 years ago! But for anyone else...I know it's confusing, all the different M2C items...if you are not watching the M2C DVD, I wouldn't really get the Participant's Guide. It does have a lot of practical application items, but a big chunk of it focuses on watching the DVD. Hope this helps someone.

The participant's guide makes you think. You could easily read the book in a very short time but with the participant guide and the DVD (which I would also suggest), you must take 6 weeks to work through the material. If you want to make a life change and not just gather more information, take the time to do your best.

To me, the participant's guide mainly goes along with the DVD. However, it does ask question and bring up additional points that the book does not. So, you would benefit from the the guide, but more so if you bought the DVD too like I did.

I would say it is geared for women.

Ofcourse it is useful for co-ed group.

The "Made to Crave" DVD is the first DVD & is based on the "Made to Crave" book...the emphasis is on the "WANT TO" of craving GOD not food. The "Action Plan" DVD is the 2nd DVD & features Lysa w/ Dr. Ski Chilton & they work together to give you the "how to" about healthy eating. E.g. drink 16 oz of water first thing in the a.m., eat more fiber & fish, etc. I highly recommend both!!
