The Lausanne Covenant was written and adopted by evangelicals at the International Congress on World Evangelization in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1974. The covenant specifically affirms the beliefs of the Nicene Creed and expresses the intention to be more committed to spreading Christianity throughout the world.
