B M H Books Moses and the Gods of Egypt: Studies in Exodus, Second Edition

Moses and the Gods of Egypt is an academically sound and pedagogically useful study of the book of Exodus. This revised edition contains new material on the date and route of the exodus. This section-by-section commentary is lucidly outlined, is illuminated by more than 30 charts, maps, drawings, and photographs, and is well indexed. It also includes a substantial bibliography. "The purpose of this volume," writes the author, "is to take a fresh look at the text of Exodus in the light of recent archaeological and historical studies. Special consideration is given to the first twelve chapters of the book in the light of Egyptian religious political customs. Where appropriate, reference is made to the Hebrew text."
