"Handbooks are meant to be useful and this Handbook for Pastors and Youth Workers is very useful. The cases are presented with clarity and realism. The options and methods presented demand study. Each case is a likely one given today's world. Readers will not endorse all the resolutions, but everyone will appreciate the care and usefulness of the presentations. The cases would make good material also for ecumenical and interfaith discussions about our different approaches to the dilemmas youth face today." -Father Hal Weidner, Pastor, Holy Trinity Church, Honolulu, Hawaii
"What a delight to have in one book . . .such a comprehensive resource for pastors involved in youth ministry and in providing "front-line" care for those in dire need. The case study overviews, combined with the list of resources and bibliography, succinctly direct the care pastors hope to provide teens and their families. It should become a standard reference book in any pastor's library." -Rev. Bill Henderson, District Superintendent, South West Texas, The United Methodist Church
“The enormous gift this book brings to professionals and parents who struggle to raise families is the combination of a wealth of resource information coupled with case studies to which professionals and parents can relate. ...The pastorate and indeed parenthood are lonely endeavors. We need as much help as we can find in our assignment to keep the children safe. This book will be indispensable in carrying out that task." -From the Preface by James M. Wall
