Yes. There are breaks between the chapters and verses and he starts off the verses with the number, which I love.

There are short, musical breaks between books. There is no commentary included--each book is introduced simply by, for example, "Romans, chapter 1".

Can not say for sure about your DVD/CD player. You will have to look in your players manual to see if it plays MP3's for sure. Most do these days.

As for the PC...If you have Windows and have Media Player installed, then you are good to go. Windows Media Player's latest version can be downloaded for free from a certified Microsoft support website. The program allows you to play many formats of media, and even supports conversion of CD's to MP3 format in your selection of density format.

Is the sound quality even throughout the tracks?

I've read reviews elsewhere that noted sound quality varied between tracks or within a track. Has anyone experienced this with this version (mp3)?

yes. there are sound variations at the begining of some of the tracks, but they even out after a few seconds

In the time I have spent listening to this set of CDs, I did not notice any problems or variance in the quality or volume of the tracks. It is possible that the reviews that you were reading on other sites may have received a bad shipment from the publisher, but looking through our customer reviews, it does not appear that we have the same problem with our stock.
