The publisher incorporates this into their grade 5 curriculum, but it can be used with children in grade school through junior high.

Depends on your student and how much you want to add to this curriculum. I used it for a semester for my 5th grader and even then I supplemented with extra material. It is a good overview and we enjoyed the curriculum but it does not have a lot of details.
