YES , It is red where Jesus' words are , and not that I know of about the soft cover, although It really is a super super Bible for any woman to own at any stage of her christian place in her life. Wonderful Bible, the first one I have ever ever got to buy on my own that I looked for and love to this day three years later, and you have a Jesus Filled Day to you and your loved ones. Bought as a gift but I think it is a red letter. Not sure if soft cover is avaialable. It is good for a new Christian; lots of insight and additional information.

This is a red-letter edition. The "Classic" edition is currently only available in hardcover and is appropriate for Christians of any maturity level.
