copyright laws

Can exerpts from The Bible DVD be played in church? Parts would be great as sermon illustrations, but I don't know about the copyright laws concerning this.

If you go by the letter of the law, I think the answer is no. You buy it for your private use only. Sharing it at church would be beyond private use (that's my amateur opinion)

Any permissions or licenses for viewing any part of the DVD would need to be obtained from the publisher.
