How many pages?

It says under the description for the 'Mitfort' (sp?) books, that it has 60 pages in the books, does that mean both books individually have 60 pges each, or both put together have60 pages??

There are 37 text pages in one and 23 in the other. Cute little books with small illustrations. Would make nice "stocking stuffer" gift.

You do not have to have read the other books before these; they can stand alone and are quite charming as Christmas stories. Ten year olds might enjoy them, as they are short pieces. They would most likely want to reread them a few years later.

Any of Jan Karon's books that I have read would be appropriate for any age. I think these books stand alone, but if you read all of her books there is a certain connection.

They would be fine for a child, and no, you need not read the rest of the books to enjoy these. Personally, I recommend that you read the entire set, they are WONDERFUL!!! You and your daughter would enjoy them together :o)

I don't believe you need to have read the other books before you read these. Certainly could be used as read-aloud-with-an-adult with a 10 year old.
