When do the wise men arrive - at the manger? Or at the house with toddler Jesus, like the Bible says?

The wise men arrive at the manger with a baby. You only see the baby's hand reach up and grab one of the wise men's fingers. The DVD sets it up that the star appears before the angel appears to Mary.

They arrive at the birth of Christ, so it is not technically/biblically accurate in this regard. We were not thrilled at this aspect originally, and I do understand your concern. We are very particular about what our children watch. However, after viewing it, in our opinion as parents of young children, this is a minor flaw when taken into perspective of the total video content. It otherwise covers all aspects, including Herod, accurately and provides a solid biblical representation all around. Hope this helps.

It clearly shows the wise men at the manger giving their gifts and even holding Christ's hand. Only a reference is made of the family moving to Egypt and it's made as an angel's visit to them telling them to go.
