Designed to accompany the first Bible printed in America--translated into the Massachusett language--this grammar was published in 1666 to aid both ministers and the Natives learning to read the Bible in their own language. It is also used today by Algonkian Natives who are learning their own language again. The original typeset is on the left-hand page while the facing page has been cleaned up, including switching the archaic "long s" to a modern "s", and employing a more readable, modern, font. 66 pages, softcover.
