answer 1
From the table of contents, you can select book and chapter (the beginning of Romans 15, for example). You then must scroll/page to the specific verse.

I use this more for extensive reading than for study. I usually "camp" somewhere for a while so having to look for a specific book/chapter is not too much of a priority with me but I can see your problem with that.

The Nook is hinky, that's for sure, but just to let you know, if you install it on a pc you can quickly go to any given book and chapter. On the left, if you click the + sign next to OLD TESTMENT or NEW TESTMENT, you can then type in the book and chapter you are seeking in the search box on top right, i.e. "hebrews 9", hit enter and enter again, it will take you directly to that book and chapter. You are out of luck for verse but if, for instance, you want a certain chapter in the long book like Psalm, at least you don't have to scroll down 150 chapters to get there.

The NKJV I recently bought for my Nook, allow me to go to the Book, then Chapter - from the Contents Page, however I need to scroll to get to the Verse after getting to the Chapter. This is a 'search' problem with the Nook and not the eBook.

I find the book and chapter easily and look through for the verse. In order to understand a verse you should read before and after it for fuller understanding and not to take it out of content. I hope this is helpfull.

I read it using Digital Editions. You can use the search function to take you to the chapter you're looking for, but you have to scroll down to the verse. That still helps me find what I'm looking for almost immediately.

This one is only broken up into books, not verses. Otherwise it is a pretty easy version. In the home page you can go to all kinds of different subjects, and the concordance is broken into alphabetical order just like your standard Bible.

This eBook is broken down by chapters, but not individual verses. You can download free samples of many of our eBooks by clicking the "Free eBook Sample" icon on the right-hand side of the page, near the CBD stock number.
