New or the 1997 version?

We have the 1997 AinO guidebook and we are considering the 25th anniversary book. But I want to know HOW this one is different, or is it the same with a new cover and pictures.

Yes, this is a new edition. It now includes material through 2012. The latest broadcast season covered is #56.
