If you like historical fiction this is a great read. Austin has done her research so for the most part it is accurate and credible. You explore more in depth the life of the kings, the choices and decisions they need to make, their faith journey as well as more about the temple, priests and their roles. It helped me understand the sacrifices, the meanings and the purpose in a simpler way then what I've read in Leviticus.

I know some guys who read these books. They all liked them. Books are not typical for women. Very close to the Bible. First try one to see if you like it.

These books are written in third person, with a strong emphasis on the perspectives of women in King Hezekiah's life. You can read sample pages by going to the individual books in the series and choosing the "excerpt" link under the CBD stock number.
